ATI has a lot of success with a graphics card that supports DirectX 11 both desktop and mobile. NVIDIA hit back with a GTX 480 and 470 in April yesterday using Fermi architecture. With fabrication capabilities at the 40nm NVIDIA launches GeForce GTX 480M mobile version in June later that the plan will be included in the device OEM Clevo laptops.
GTX 480M GF100 will use the same chip in a desktop but customized for notebook and support Optimus NVIDIA technology.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480M focusing on tessellation and compute shader hardware. NVIDIA states that the GTX 480M will be able to provide up to five times the performance than the GPU for tessellation other. 480M GTX also supports features such as CUDA, OpenCL, OpenGL 3.2 and Pure Video. In DirectX11 advantage of NVIDIA’s shader performance will be more prominent. There was also, GTX 480M also supports SLI if emang notebook manufacturers want to take advantage of this feature.
