WindMend Folder Hidden program is a free / freeware that is able to hide files and folders quickly in both the local and partitions in the removable disk drives such as Flash, and other External Hardisk.

File / folder that is hidden will remain hidden even if the data is accessed from another computer or from other operating systems in both the computer or from another computer. To access the data is needed to program the correct password.

How to Use WindMend Folders Hidden

Use of this program is relatively easy, after the download and then install as normal. Once completed, the aka in the initial dialog appears to enter a password (6-15 characters long), which will be used to hide / open the data. Enter the password 2 times.

After that we will go to the main page, then we can add a file / folder that will be hidden. Removing the list that already exists and change the old password.

Weakness WinMend Folder Hidden

I’d like to recommend this program because the ability to hide data on a removable drive, such as a USB Flash. But after I try, test and analyze, there is one weakness that I see.

Indeed, the files / folders were not visible, but I see a file / folder is hidden in a folder named Recycled. When we open this folder we will not see its contents. But if this in the Delete folder or deleted, can be a natural. Recycled folder itself is not deleted, but its contents will be deleted, so that the data we are in the hide will not be accessible (also deleted).

It also covers when we hide the data on hard drives. Actual data are likely moved / stored in the RECYCLER folder, so that when people have a delete this folder, the data will be erased participate. Seeing this, if you still need software such as this, it is better to use Hide Folders.
