VIA Eden X2 is dual-core processor architecture based on a so-called out-of-order x86 40-nanometer. Dedicated to the field of embedded systems, X2 Eden tries to bring new life to the manufacturer to resist the domination of AMD and Intel. To do this, VIA Technologies is focusing on energy considered, probably rightly, a strong requirement for a processor who can offer the right balance between performance and attention to consumption.

Eden Eden X2 combines two 64-bit cores in a single day from 11 x 6 mm (the package instead nanoBGA2 measure 21 x 21 mm) and can support an advanced multi-tasking while maintaining fairly high levels of efficiency. The processor, despite the particularly low fuel consumption, faces with great determination multimedia applications without some level of uncertainty. Designed for fanless systems, Eden X2 is proposed as a highly integrated solution for use in those contexts where it is vital to the provision of a balanced product and concrete.

VIA has not provided many details on this CPU. Are unknown, for example, information about the frequency of work but, beyond this, the fact that the first samples have already been distributed to partner companies, suggests an imminent launch of the major international markets. VIA Eden X2, in its arsenal, it has VIA VT virtualization technology and VIA AES Security Engine. The latter represents a mechanism for data encryption at the hardware level rather fast and practical. To ensure a degree of interoperability, VIA Eden X2 is pin compatible with VIA Eden, VIA C7 and VIA Nano E Series.

Intel has announced a new processor family business, Intel Core vPro i5 and i7 Sandy Bridge offering new levels of security and management and higher performance and flexibility for business computing. The new family of Intel vPro Core uses the second generation performance and features Intel’s new microarchitecture, the Intel vPro technology enhancements and new security features, including the option to inoculate a “poison pill” 3G to protect data from PC.

Computer manufacturers worldwide, including Dell, Fujitsu, HP and Lenovo, are introducing new notebooks on the market, convertible tablet PC and desktop business all-in-one based on the new Intel vPro Core.

To take full advantage of these emerging innovations, the new Intel vPro Core offer the highest performance of Intel’s new microarchitecture, the Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 optimized and new Intel Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX). Compared with an Intel Core 2 Duo than three years ago, a new Intel vPro Core i5 can run your business applications at speeds 60% higher, to work in multitasking to 100% faster and perform cryptographic operations of data at rates exceeding 300%

To offer greater protection from the problem of stolen laptops and lost data, Intel introduced the Intel Anti-Theft version 3.0 (AT 3.0), available on all Intel Core and vPro Core of the second generation. Previous versions of Intel Anti-Theft allow IT staff or authorized service personnel via the Internet to send a “poison pill” keyed to completely turn a lost or stolen computers and to help prevent unauthorized access to encrypted data, acting a deterrent to theft.

At CeBIT 2011 in Hanover will be possible from now on, discover netbook equipped with Intel Atom N570 Dual COre, Asus Eee PC 1015PN. After Atom N550 launched in September 2010, Intel continues to engage in the field of dual core processors for netbooks, announcing a new Intel Atom N570 Dual Core, despite the mini-notebook segment has significantly slowed its growth. Atom N570 inherits most of the features of its predecessor, but uses a higher operating frequency at 1.66GHz.

The Intel chip, which will be released in coming weeks, it has two physical cores, each of which represent two logical cores (a total of 4) due to hyper-threading. With a 45-nanometer manufacturing process, the Atom N570 has 176 million transistors and has 1MB of level two cache memory (L2). Its TDP (Thermal Design Power) moves to 8.5W, a value identical to the Atom N550. Asus, Lenovo and Samsung will be among the first companies to integrate the new dual core CPU.

Intel Atom N570 will support DDR3 memory, virtualization technology (Intel Virtualization) and up to 4GB of RAM, a change with respect to Atom N550 (limited to 2GB of DDR3 memory). We do not know when the price of the new processor, but we anticipate that the distribution will start by the end of March. If you are interested in comparing the currently most popular processors, Atom N570 – AMD C-50 – AMD-350.

IBM’s processor most fast speed with the presence of new, eight-core processor (core) IBM Power7, Monday (8/2/2010) which will bersiang with products made by Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems. In fact, each core is capable of executing four activities – commonly called thread – so this really one processor has 32 virtual cores.

Breakthrough made money in the Power 7 is a combination of two IBM processor technology, the chip technology “Power” with a chip technology “Cell”. Processor-based Cell has been also used in various devices from supercomputer Roadrunner at Los Alamos National Laboratory to the PlayStation 3.

“We took the essence of Cell program that helps the process of calculations (floating point) and put it in the core Power7,” said Bradley McCredie, members of the Systems and Technology Group of IBM, as quoted by CNET.

Power7 designed to support the development of grid computing, computer circuit to double the speed of computing processes. This processor is offered in three classes each for the IBM Power 780 modular high-performance servers that support up to 64 cores, 770 Power for the middle class, and Power 755 for high performance computer clusters or high performance computing cluster (HPCC) with 32 cores.
