Continuing the series of SLT (Single Lens Transluscent) cameras, Sony released the Alpha A37 to replace the A35. This entry-class camera comes with a variety of enhancement features that are more innovative and better than ever. From the looks of this camera glance is similar to the Sony Alpha A35. Only, the Sony Alpha A37 comes with a great grip design that is similar to the Sony Alpha A77. Behind the pack body is small and lightweight, Sony’s pinning an APS-C CMOS sensor 16 megapixels is equipped with the ability to record Full HD.
Screen sector have increased quite interesting. Alpha A37 is carrying the Articulated LCD screen 2.6-inch size that we usually see on the Sony NEX-series generation. You can set the screen up and down so it can be adapted to the shooting conditions.
Fortunately, the increase is not just coming in terms of hardware only. Sony Alpha A37 complements this with a new feature called Auto Portrait Framing, outside of the features that existed before. With this new feature each of the images will have a portrait orientation automatically, even if you take a photo in landscape orientation or widened. Picture Effect it has also a lot more, as many as 15 choices – while the A35 only has 11 effects only. Interestingly, the A37 features the ability continuous shot up to 7 frames per second, as well as auto focus tracking system that will lock the focus on the subject and follow it as it moved.
