Advantages and Disadvantages of Samsung EX2F (Review)

Samsung EX2F using BSI sensor (back-side illuminated) CMOS with 12.4 megapixels resolution. This new sensor seems to be superior to the 10-megapixel CCD sensor that is on the Samsung EX1. However, the most interesting of Samsung EX-series lens remains in the specification. If Samsung EX1 comes with a 24mm lens has f/1.8 aperture, Samsung EX2F now comes with a Schneider Kreuznach 24mm wide lens aperture f/1.4 with 3.3x optical zoom capability (24mm f/1.4 – 80mm f/2.7).

The lens has been equipped with ND Filter to help you lower the shutter speed when the light is too bright. In addition, support ISO 12800 and ISO up to a larger aperture lens, making Samsung EX2F more promising when used in low-light conditions. One more important point for those who like taking pictures at night or in dim light conditions.

Samsung EX2F also reliable in terms of video recording, with support for Full HD 1080p resolution. Interesting video recording capabilities plus a Dual Capture feature that can be used to take photos while shooting video in progress.

Call it features Dual IS (OIS and DIS) to minimize blur caused by hand shake, manual control options and shooting in RAW format as DSLR cameras, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity feature supported Mobile Link, Remote Viewfinder, Email, Auto Backup and ease of sharing the photos to your various social networking accounts. Samsung EX2F will go on sale in August 2012 with a price tag of U.S. $ 549.
