Acer Aspire E1-451G Review

Acer announced the availability of the Acer Aspire E1-451G supported Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) A8 latest quad-core processors from AMD. APU is equipped with a graphics card AMD Radeon HD 8000 series. Acer claims that the Aspire E1-451G is the first notebook in Indonesia to adopt APU with Radeon HD 8000 graphics technology. Use of this APU will improve graphics performance significantly.

The notebook uses an AMD A8-4500M with a clock speed of 1.9 GHz which can be increased up to 2.8 GHz Turbo Core technologies. While the graphics processor, AMD Radeon HD 8750 buried to accompany the HD 7640 integrated GPU with A8 APU from AMD. APU from AMD’s latest, in addition to having improved performance, it also consumes less power than previous versions APU.

We tried to play the game Battlefield 3 at launch, the notebook is capable of acquiring frames per second (FPS), which ranged in number from 30 to 50 with a game at high settings. APU is an accelerated processor technology from AMD earned Computex’s Best Choice Award in 2011 and 2012.

Acer claims this notebook can last for 4-5 hours on light usage, while when used for heavy gaming, the battery resistance drops to 2-3 hours. Acer also provides multi-gesture touchpad that supports the use of gesture in Windows 8. Aspire E1-451G using screen Acer CineCrystal 14 “HD, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD, and Linux operating systems.
